Blog's maintenance and new bootlegs

Terminei de reupar todos os arquivos deletados e faixas corrompidas, e de checar a disponibilidade de todos os arquivos postados no blog, aparentemente agora está tudo certo. Agradeço a todos que comentaram e mandaram e-mails avisando sobre esses problemas. Uma vez que terminei esse trabalho, no próximo fim de semana pretendo começar a postar novos bootlegs no blog, aguardem!

E por favor, continuem avisando sobre links quebrados para que eu possa deixar todo conteúdo do blog sempre disponível!

I've finished reuploading all deleted files and corrupted tracks, and also checking the availability of all files posted in the blog, and apparently everything is OK now. I'd like to thank everybody who commented and sent e-mails warning me about these problems. Once I'm finished with these works, next weekend I intend to resume the posting of new bootlegs in the blog, stay tunned!

And please, keep on letting me know about broken links and stuff so I can make sure that all content in the blog is always available!

Manutenção do Repositório (Repository Maintanance)

Agora que a faculdade está quase terminada por esse ano e estou de férias do trabalho, arranjei um tempo e estou dando uma olhada geral nas coisas do blog. Pra começar estou respondendo vários e-mails e comentários que há muito deveriam ter sido respondidos, mas que acabaram enterrados em montes de e-mails e não consegui dar a devida atenção.

Com a ajuda desses e-mails verifiquei que os arquivo abaixo realmente apresentam problemas e farei o upload deles novamente o mais rápido possivel. Agradeço muito a todos que reportaram o estado desses arquivos.

Além disso, farei uma checagem de disponibilidade de todos os links para download do blog, para verificar se há mais algum quebrado. Alguns dos arquivos reportados como quebrados estavam na verdade OK, peço que tenham um pouco de paciência com o MediaFire, algumas vezes ele simplesmente não deixa baixar, ou fala que está indisponível, nesses casos sejam um pouco persistentes que é bem provável que consiga fazer o download. Poucos e raros são os casos de arquivos inteiros faltantes.

Depois que eu terminar essa checagem e os re-uploads, só ai vou começar a postar material novo novamente. Esse foi o ano mais fraco em posts no BooTULLegs, mas ano que vem pretendo que seja bem diferente!

Now that I'm almost done with college, for this year at least, and on vacation from work, I'm dedicating a time to take care of the blog stuff, beginning by answering e-mails and comments that should have been answered a long time ago, but ended up buried under lots of other things and I wasn't able to give it the appropriated attention.

With a little help from these e-mails I verified that the files listed bellow have some problems, and I'll upload them again asap. I'd like to thank everyone who reported this broken links.

After re-uploading these files, I'll check the availability of all download links in the blog, to verify if there are more broken links. Some of the files reported missing are actually OK, please be patient with MediaFire, sometimes it just won't let you download the file or say that it's unavailable, in these cases be persistent because it's highly probable that you'll be able to download the file later. Few and rare are the cases of entire files missing.

After I finish the checking and the re-uploads I'll begin to post new bootlegs in the blog. This year was the one with the smaller number of posts around here, but next year I intend it to be just the opposite!

• 1989 - The Zürich Tapes - Part I : Missing Track - Verifiquei que, infelizmente, a versão do bootleg de 89 Zürich Tapes que eu tenho está mesmo com a faixa Rock Island faltando, foi por isso que nem a inclui na listagem de faixas, apesar de estar na capa. Vou procurar por uma versão que possua essa faixa e assim que achar eu aviso.

I verified that, unfortunately, the 1989 Zürich Tapes bootleg version I have is indeed missing the track Rock Island, that's why I didn't even list it in the post, however it is listed in the artwork. I' ll search for a version with this track and I'll let you know when I find it.

Futuro do Blog (Blog's Future)

Não tenho postado muito aqui ultimamente, e infelizmente a regularidade das postagens não deve aumentar tão cedo. O motivo é que voltei às aulas na faculdade e esse ano pretendo fazer as coisas diferente pra não ter que correr atrás do prejuízo em dezembro.

Minha próxima postagem será focada em verificar os links dos bootlegs e reupar todos os pedidos feitos por comentário, de link quebrado, musica faltando etc. Farei isso antes de pensar em postar bootlegs novos, aguardem as correções e reuploads!

I'm not posting much lately, and the posting regularity won't increase so early. The motive is that I've returned to have classes in College and this year and want to do things right from the beginning, so I won't need to study so hard like I had to do last december.

My next post will be focused in verifying the bootleg's download links and re-upload all the requests made by comments, regarding broken links, missing tracks, etc. I´ll do that before thinking about posting new bootlegs, wait for the corrections and re-ups!

Tem sido muito legal postar nesse blog, e compartilhar com fãs do Tull de todo o mundo as gravações que eu tenho. O BooTULLegs termina o ano com 50 postagens com links para donwload de shows, apresentações em rádios, material relacionado ao Tull, raridades, etc.

Gostaria de agradecer a todo mundo que passou por aqui e deixou um comentário, é muito bom receber mensagens do Brasil, EUA, Ucrânia, Bélgica, França, Itália, e etc, interagir com fãs do Tull de todos esses países é fantástico.

It's being really enjoyable posting in this blog, and sharing with other Tull fans around the world the recordings I have. BooTULLegs ends this year with 50 posts with donwload links for shows, radio appeareances, Tull related material, rarities and etc.

De volta à ativa (Back in the game)

Finalmente a faculdade acabou (esse ano pelo menos), e todos estresse que tive com ela esse ano foi embora, o que me dá mais tempo e cabeça para atualizar as coisas por aqui.
Ainda não recuperei aquele meu antigo HD cheio de coisas do Tull mas já tenho tudo pronto para fazer isso, achei um tutorial por ai que muita gente com o mesmo problema seguiu e funcionou. Mas tenho constantemente encontrado mais bootlegs por aí então tenho várias coisas já preparadas para postar, e pretendo começar essa semana!

Finally college is over (for this year, at least), and all the stress it gave me this year is gone, wich gives me more time and disposition to update things around here.
I didn't recover that old HD fulfilled with Tull stuff, though I already have everything prepared to do it, found a tutorial that worked for a lot of people with the same problem. But I have constantly found new bootlegs so I already have many things prepared to upload and post, and I pretend start doing it this week!

Novidades: Boas e Ruins (News: Good ones and Bad ones)

So, what one do you want first?

Vamos começar com as coisas boas. Descobri mais cantinhos escondidos na internet que tem coisas muuuito legais do Tull. Já postei várias delas aqui, alguns devem ter percebido que ultimamente os bootlegs tem tido um tamanho maior, isso se dá porque nesses lugares em que estou pegando coisas geralmente está tudo em Flac, formato de áudio sem compressão, o que torna o som com mais qualidade, mas gera arquivos muito grandes. Pra postar aqui eu encodo tudo em MP3 de 320 kbps, fica bem menor, mas ainda dápra perceber que os arquivos são maiores que o padrão que se acha na net. A outra é que descobri um site de torrent que tem muitos shows do Tull em DVD, com qualidade muito boa. Tem coisas bem raras, como o BBC Lively Arts com qualidade muito legal, bem distante daquele mpg que roda por ai. Não pretendo upar e por no blog essas coisas, porque o legal mesmo é ver em alta qualidade, gravar numa mídia e curtir, mas vou fazer um post com essa dica muito boa depois.

Let's begin with the good ones. I found out more hidden sites in the internet where there are the most awesome Tull stuff. I have already posted some of it here, some of you should have noticed that the last bootlegs were bigger than the others, that's because in the site I am getting the bootlegs everything is in Flac, an audio format without compression, with better sound quality, but too large to post in the blog. So I encode everything in 320 kbps MP3 files, what make the bootlegs smaller, but still possible to notice that the files are bigger than the usually found in the internet. The other good new is that I discovered a torrent site with many Tull shows in DVD, with a very good quality. There are some rare stuff, like BBC Lively Arts with a very good quality, far away from the old mpg that runs the internet. I won't post it in the blog, because that kind of stuff is better to download in high quality, burn in a DVD disk and have fun, but I will post this very good tip later.

Agora, como não tem pra onde fugir, vamos às ruins. Eu ando com acesso bem restrito à internet, comecei a trabalhar, e faço faculdade, então meu tempo tá bem curto pra subir coisas e postar. Mas continuarei fazendo isso, mesmo que com menos frequëncia.
O pior mesmo é o que aconteceu com meu HD. Ele é um HD Seagate Barracuda de 500 gb. Estava funcionando perfeitamente até essa semana, quando simplesmente deixou de ser reconhecido pela BIOS. Fiz todos os testes aqui descobri que o problema é mesmo com o HD. Entrei no site da Seagate e descobri que há um problema realmente, os HD`s que vieram com alguns firmwares específicos estão tendo esse problema, que torna os arquivos inacessíveis. A Seagate promete que não haverá perda de dados por causa desse problema, então eu estou mais tranqüilo, a Seagate tem um nome muito forte, não vai se queimar desse jeito não dando suporte pra um erro deles. Creio que terei meus dados novos junto com um HD novo, eu realmente quero acreditar nisso. Mas quando? Não faço idéia.
Ou seja, vai complicar pra eu postar coisas que estavam arrumadas e separadas pro blog. Tenho a maioria do meu acervo em backup, mas não tudo, e tem coisas lá que seria lastimável perder.

Now the bad ones. I am with a very limited access to the internet, I got a job, and there's the college too, so my time to encode, up and post bootlegs is now very short. But I will still doing this, with less frequency probably, but I will.
But the worst happened to my HD. It's a Seagate Barracuda 500GB, and it was working perfectly, but suddenly it stopped being recognized to the BIOS. I ran all the tests and find out that the problem is indeed with the HD. In Seagate's site I saw that there is a problem with the firmware of some HD's, now my data is inaccessible, but is intact (so say Seagate). I am in touch with Seagate's Support and they will help me to restore my HD and have my stuff back.
Because of that will be difficult to up and post some things that are already organized and separated to the blog. I have backups of most of my Tull bootlegs, but there are some things that would be terrible to lose.

Essa é a situação, então talvez o blog fique meio parado por um tempo, e eu também não poderei atender aos comentários de link quebrado ou faixas faltando, mas em breve olharei meus backups que estão por aqui em algum lugar e arrumarei tudo que for possível.
Como compensação a todos os leitores, amanhã vou subir um show de 1977, do qual nunca tinha ouvido falar antes, e que apareceu do nada por aí, e melhor, áudio muito bom, direto da mesa de som!

This is the situation, so the blog might be a little outdated for a while, and I won't be able to attend the coments reporting broken links and missing tracks, but soon I will look at my backups and fix everything possible.
As a compensation to all readers, I will upload today one show from 1977, from wich I didn't listen about before, and showed out from nothing in the internet, with great audio, direct from the soundboard!

Depois de um longo período distante do blog e da organização e upload dos meus bootlegs, agora estou de volta. Tenho muitas coisas fantásticas aqui pra upar, vou começar hoje mesmo com uma grande performance do Tull em 1970 na Alemanha.
Também irei dar uma conferida em todos os links e reupar o que for necessário.

Esquecimento, Achados e Wallpaper

Recentemente o leitor the ox me alertou sobre a falta de uma faixa em um bootleg, o We Used To Know, de 1970. Na hora de fazer os pacotes e subir acabei me esquecendo dela, que é a "Sossity: You're A Woman/Reasons For Waiting". Acabo de fazer o upload dela, que pode ser baixada clicando aqui.
Também adicionei isso na postagem do referido bootleg, e arrumei a relação das faixas, pois nela "By Kind Permission Of..." estava como uma única faixa, quando na verdade esse música está na mesma faixa de "With You There To Help Me".
Obrigado pelo aviso the ox, e desculpem minha distração.

Além disso, estou há alguns dias sem atualizar o blog, mas farei isso em breve. Na verdade já tenho algumas coisas upadas, acho que até sexta devo organizar esse material e disponibilizar aqui. Tenho encontrado mais coisas o tempo todo ultimamente, hoje mesmo foram mais três bootlegs, de 73, 74 e 76.
Pretendo ir postando esses menos comuns por aqui primeiro, mas intercalando com bootlegs que são conhecidos na net a mais tempo, e também com os mais atuais. Há ótimas gravações da turnê do ano passado, e a desse ano, a turnê do Aniversário dos 40 Anos da banda, tem trazido muitas surpresas, tanto nos setlists quando nas participações especiais e etc.

Mas enquanto não posto nenhum bootleg novo vou deixar aqui pra vocês uma coisa que eu fiz. Eu nunca consegui achar um wallpaper decente do Tull na internet. Aí, acabo fazendo os meus eu mesmo. Esse fiz hoje. Não é nada demais, uma foto do Ian tirada em 1973, com um efeito de pintura e ao lado o desenho da capa do Living In The Past. Gostei do resultado, estou usando aqui e resolvi deixar por aqui pra quem quiser:

O início

Jethro Tull.
Antes de conhecer a banda eu pensava que fosse algum tipo de metal, sei lá por que. Me parecia um nome forte, combinava com isso na minha cabeça.
Ai eu comecei a ouvir, e nunca mais parei. Tull é a banda da minha vida, já há dois anos, e vai continuar sendo. Pelo menos esse é o plano. Não acho que vá viciar tanto em outra banda outra vez, não tanto quanto em Tull.

Mas vamos ao que interessa. Nesses dois anos, após ouvir toda discografia oficial da banda, começou minha caçada por Bootlegs Tullianos. De lá pra cá acumulei muita coisa, muita coisa boa.
Alguens foram fáceis de achar, de outros eu quase desisti. Recentemente encontrei uma leva de bootlegs, de épocas das quais eu não tinha nada, todos fantásticos.
Então me veio a idéia de subir todos eles e espalhar pela net a fora, o que acabou me levando a criar esse blog. Pretendo colocar toda minha coleção aqui.
Quero com isso que mais gente, mais fãs e futuros fãs tenham acesso mais fácil a essas coisas, compartilhar isso é pra mim como um tipo de agradecimento a essa banda maravilhosa e a todos os músicos que passaram por ela, um agradecimentos na forma de levar seu trabalho mais longe.

Por hoje é isso, em breve começarei a postar os bootlegs.
