Comentários: Mais um grande bootleg de 70, show de 2 dias depois do show em Fillmore West, tendo o setlist bem parecido. Muito boa qualidade de som e performance da banda. Interessante que nesse na faixa final Martin toca um solo, adivinha qual? Cat's Squirrel! Vale a pena conferir!

Another great bootleg from 70, this show happened 2 days after the one in Fillmore West, so the setlists are quite similar. Very good sound quality and great band performance. Interesting that in the last track Martin plays a solo, guess what one? Cat's Squirrel! Check it out, you won't regret!

Comentários: Esse é um bootleg engraçado. Ian está anormalmente confuso, errou a ordem das músicas do setlist, começou a tocar outra música no começo de Cheap Day Return, por isso tem uma faixa Cheap Day Return (first attempt), etc. Engraçado é as piadas e coisas que ele fala pra disfarçar as situações embaraçosas, hehe. Mas tirando isso a perfomance da banda é bem legal e conta com a talentosa violinista Lucia Micarelli, a primeira que saiu em turnê como convidada com a banda. Ela toca algumas peças próprias, e a banda toca junto com ele em algumas músicas do Tull e em alguns covers! Coisa que eu nunca tinha visto antes, o Tull tocando covers, mas taí, Kashmir e Bohemian Rhapsody! Outro destaque é o tema do Poderoso Chefão, que ficou muito bom com flauta e violino. Ótimo show!

This is a funny bootleg. Ian is unusually confused, forgets the order of the songs in the setlist, begins to play another song in the beginning of Cheap Day Return, that's why there's a track called Cheap Day Return (first attempt), etc. The funny thing is the jokes he made to cover up this embarrassing moments, but the band performance is pretty good, and counts with the talented violinist Lucia Micarelli, the first one to get on the road with the band as a guest violist. She plays some of her own material, as well as Tull's pieces with the band and some covers! That was new for me, never had seen Tull playing covers, but there it is, Kashmir and Bohemian Rhapsody! Another highlight is The Godfather's theme, that gave a very nice flute/violin song. Great show!

Comentários: Um pedaço da história por trás do surgimento do Jethro Tull. Esse é um bootleg de um show da John Evan Band, banda na qual tocaram vários músicos que um dia seriam membros do Jethro Tull, como Ian Anderson, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, Glenn Cornick, John Evan e Barriemore Barlow. Nessa gravação especificamente, apenas Ian e John Evan tocaram, junto com outros membros obscuros do conjunto, entretanto na capa do bootleg temos uma foto mostrando Ian, sentado acima da placa do carro está John Evan, apoiado nele esta Barrie Barlow e o último à direita é Glenn Cornick. Eu acabei de descobrir que essa foto é de quando eles fizeram uma aparição num programa de televisão chamado Firstimers! Mais informações nesse link, no site Tull Press. Ou seja, há uma gravação em algum lugar por aí dessa turma tocando na TV, ia ser incrível ver isso!

Mas obviamente as músicas desse bootleg não tem nada a ver com Jethro Tull, são em sua maioria covers de blues e outras músicas nesse estilo, serve mais como uma curiosidade do que esses caras tocavam antes do Tull.

A little piece of Jethro Tull's history, this bootleg is a show of The John Evan Band, band in which played several musicians who later would be members of Jethro Tull, like Ian Anderson, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, Glenn Cornick, John Evan and Barriemore Barlow. In this specific, only Ian and John Evan played, along with other obscure members of the group, however in the workart there's a picture showing Ian, sitting right above the car's number plate is John Evan, in his side is Barrie Barlow and the last one in the right is Glenn Cornick. I just found out that this picture is from they made an apparition in a TV show called Firstimers! More informations in this link, in Tull Press website. That means there's a recording somewhere with this guys playing in TV, would be amazing to see this!

But obviously this bootleg's songs are completely different from Tull's music, most of it are covers of blues songs and other songs in this style, but it still worth the download as a curiosity of what this guys used to play before Tull.

1969 - Stockholm 1969: The Master Reel

Comentários: Em 1969 o Tull fez dois shows no mesmo dia na cidade de Estocolmo. Essa gravação é do primeiro show. O setlist é bem parecido com o outro, mas esse show é menor, tem pouco mais de 10 minutos a menos. A qualidade de som e a performance são muito boas. Esse bootleg tem o mesmo nome de um bootleg gravado em 1970 nos EUA.

É um show muito legal de ouvir, tem algumas peculiaridades, como Nothing Is Easy com 14 minutos, até gaita o Ian toca no meio, e Dharma For One com Clive bunker fazendo o seu famoso solo de bateria.

In 69 Tull played to concerts in the same day in Stockholm. This record is from the first show. The setlist is almost the same from the setlist of the other show, but this show is about 10 minutes shorter. Sound quality and band performance are amazing. This bootleg has the same name of another one recorded in the USA in 70.

It's a show very cool to listen to, it has some peculiarities, like a 14 minutes long version of Nothing Is Easy, Ian plays harmonica in the middle of it, and Dharma For One with Clive Bunker performing his famous drum solo.
