E aí, qual vocês querem primeiro?
So, what one do you want first?Vamos começar com as coisas boas. Descobri mais cantinhos escondidos na internet que tem coisas muuuito legais do Tull. Já postei várias delas aqui, alguns devem ter percebido que ultimamente os bootlegs tem tido um tamanho maior, isso se dá porque nesses lugares em que estou pegando coisas geralmente está tudo em Flac, formato de áudio sem compressão, o que torna o som com mais qualidade, mas gera arquivos muito grandes. Pra postar aqui eu encodo tudo em MP3 de 320 kbps, fica bem menor, mas ainda dápra perceber que os arquivos são maiores que o padrão que se acha na net. A outra é que descobri um site de torrent que tem muitos shows do Tull em DVD, com qualidade muito boa. Tem coisas bem raras, como o BBC Lively Arts com qualidade muito legal, bem distante daquele mpg que roda por ai. Não pretendo upar e por no blog essas coisas, porque o legal mesmo é ver em alta qualidade, gravar numa mídia e curtir, mas vou fazer um post com essa dica muito boa depois.
Let's begin with the good ones. I found out more hidden sites in the internet where there are the most awesome Tull stuff. I have already posted some of it here, some of you should have noticed that the last bootlegs were bigger than the others, that's because in the site I am getting the bootlegs everything is in Flac, an audio format without compression, with better sound quality, but too large to post in the blog. So I encode everything in 320 kbps MP3 files, what make the bootlegs smaller, but still possible to notice that the files are bigger than the usually found in the internet. The other good new is that I discovered a torrent site with many Tull shows in DVD, with a very good quality. There are some rare stuff, like BBC Lively Arts with a very good quality, far away from the old mpg that runs the internet. I won't post it in the blog, because that kind of stuff is better to download in high quality, burn in a DVD disk and have fun, but I will post this very good tip later.
Agora, como não tem pra onde fugir, vamos às ruins. Eu ando com acesso bem restrito à internet, comecei a trabalhar, e faço faculdade, então meu tempo tá bem curto pra subir coisas e postar. Mas continuarei fazendo isso, mesmo que com menos frequëncia.
O pior mesmo é o que aconteceu com meu HD. Ele é um HD Seagate Barracuda de 500 gb. Estava funcionando perfeitamente até essa semana, quando simplesmente deixou de ser reconhecido pela BIOS. Fiz todos os testes aqui descobri que o problema é mesmo com o HD. Entrei no site da Seagate e descobri que há um problema realmente, os HD`s que vieram com alguns firmwares específicos estão tendo esse problema, que torna os arquivos inacessíveis. A Seagate promete que não haverá perda de dados por causa desse problema, então eu estou mais tranqüilo, a Seagate tem um nome muito forte, não vai se queimar desse jeito não dando suporte pra um erro deles. Creio que terei meus dados novos junto com um HD novo, eu realmente quero acreditar nisso. Mas quando? Não faço idéia.
Ou seja, vai complicar pra eu postar coisas que estavam arrumadas e separadas pro blog. Tenho a maioria do meu acervo em backup, mas não tudo, e tem coisas lá que seria lastimável perder.
Now the bad ones. I am with a very limited access to the internet, I got a job, and there's the college too, so my time to encode, up and post bootlegs is now very short. But I will still doing this, with less frequency probably, but I will.
But the worst happened to my HD. It's a Seagate Barracuda 500GB, and it was working perfectly, but suddenly it stopped being recognized to the BIOS. I ran all the tests and find out that the problem is indeed with the HD. In Seagate's site I saw that there is a problem with the firmware of some HD's, now my data is inaccessible, but is intact (so say Seagate). I am in touch with Seagate's Support and they will help me to restore my HD and have my stuff back.
Because of that will be difficult to up and post some things that are already organized and separated to the blog. I have backups of most of my Tull bootlegs, but there are some things that would be terrible to lose.
Essa é a situação, então talvez o blog fique meio parado por um tempo, e eu também não poderei atender aos comentários de link quebrado ou faixas faltando, mas em breve olharei meus backups que estão por aqui em algum lugar e arrumarei tudo que for possível.
Como compensação a todos os leitores, amanhã vou subir um show de 1977, do qual nunca tinha ouvido falar antes, e que apareceu do nada por aí, e melhor, áudio muito bom, direto da mesa de som!
This is the situation, so the blog might be a little outdated for a while, and I won't be able to attend the coments reporting broken links and missing tracks, but soon I will look at my backups and fix everything possible.
As a compensation to all readers, I will upload today one show from 1977, from wich I didn't listen about before, and showed out from nothing in the internet, with great audio, direct from the soundboard!
