Esse é muito bom, de um de meus bootlegs preferidos dessa época, com ótima qualidade de imagem e gravação profissional. Atenção: o artwork eu achei na internet, mas os bônus tracks listados não estão incluídos na versão aqui postada! Espero que gostem!

This is a very good one, from one of my favorite shows from this time, with a very good image quality and ProShot recording, Attention: the artwork I found in the internet list some bonus tracks that are not included in the version posted here! Blog's maintenance and new bootlegs

Terminei de reupar todos os arquivos deletados e faixas corrompidas, e de checar a disponibilidade de todos os arquivos postados no blog, aparentemente agora está tudo certo. Agradeço a todos que comentaram e mandaram e-mails avisando sobre esses problemas. Uma vez que terminei esse trabalho, no próximo fim de semana pretendo começar a postar novos bootlegs no blog, aguardem!

E por favor, continuem avisando sobre links quebrados para que eu possa deixar todo conteúdo do blog sempre disponível!

I've finished reuploading all deleted files and corrupted tracks, and also checking the availability of all files posted in the blog, and apparently everything is OK now. I'd like to thank everybody who commented and sent e-mails warning me about these problems. Once I'm finished with these works, next weekend I intend to resume the posting of new bootlegs in the blog, stay tunned!
And please, keep on letting me know about broken links and stuff so I can make sure that all content in the blog is always available!

Manutenção do Repositório (Repository Maintanance)

Agora que a faculdade está quase terminada por esse ano e estou de férias do trabalho, arranjei um tempo e estou dando uma olhada geral nas coisas do blog. Pra começar estou respondendo vários e-mails e comentários que há muito deveriam ter sido respondidos, mas que acabaram enterrados em montes de e-mails e não consegui dar a devida atenção.

Com a ajuda desses e-mails verifiquei que os arquivo abaixo realmente apresentam problemas e farei o upload deles novamente o mais rápido possivel. Agradeço muito a todos que reportaram o estado desses arquivos.

Além disso, farei uma checagem de disponibilidade de todos os links para download do blog, para verificar se há mais algum quebrado. Alguns dos arquivos reportados como quebrados estavam na verdade OK, peço que tenham um pouco de paciência com o MediaFire, algumas vezes ele simplesmente não deixa baixar, ou fala que está indisponível, nesses casos sejam um pouco persistentes que é bem provável que consiga fazer o download. Poucos e raros são os casos de arquivos inteiros faltantes.

Depois que eu terminar essa checagem e os re-uploads, só ai vou começar a postar material novo novamente. Esse foi o ano mais fraco em posts no BooTULLegs, mas ano que vem pretendo que seja bem diferente!

Now that I'm almost done with college, for this year at least, and on vacation from work, I'm dedicating a time to take care of the blog stuff, beginning by answering e-mails and comments that should have been answered a long time ago, but ended up buried under lots of other things and I wasn't able to give it the appropriated attention.
With a little help from these e-mails I verified that the files listed bellow have some problems, and I'll upload them again asap. I'd like to thank everyone who reported this broken links.
After re-uploading these files, I'll check the availability of all download links in the blog, to verify if there are more broken links. Some of the files reported missing are actually OK, please be patient with MediaFire, sometimes it just won't let you download the file or say that it's unavailable, in these cases be persistent because it's highly probable that you'll be able to download the file later. Few and rare are the cases of entire files missing.
After I finish the checking and the re-uploads I'll begin to post new bootlegs in the blog. This year was the one with the smaller number of posts around here, but next year I intend it to be just the opposite!

1989 - The Zürich Tapes - Part I : Missing Track - Verifiquei que, infelizmente, a versão do bootleg de 89 Zürich Tapes que eu tenho está mesmo com a faixa Rock Island faltando, foi por isso que nem a inclui na listagem de faixas, apesar de estar na capa. Vou procurar por uma versão que possua essa faixa e assim que achar eu aviso.

I verified that, unfortunately, the 1989 Zürich Tapes bootleg version I have is indeed missing the track Rock Island, that's why I didn't even list it in the post, however it is listed in the artwork. I' ll search for a version with this track and I'll let you know when I find it.

Comentários: Outro bootleg de 79 do breve período de um mês que contou com John Glascock no baixo. Uma grande performance da banda, e qualidade de som bastante decente. Encontrei um artwork bem feio pra esse bootleg, então resolvi refazer pelo menos a capa frontal, acho que o resultado ficou interessante. Anyway, a capa original também está no arquivo. Ótimo booTULLeg!

Another bootleg from the brief period of a month in 79 which counted with John Glascock in the bass. A great band performance, and quite nice sound quality. I found a pretty bad artwork for this one, so I decided to remake it, at least the front cover, I think the result ended up interesting. Anyway, the original artwork is in the file as well. Amazing booTULLeg!

Just realized that I uploaded just 2 bootlegs this whole year, in january! Time to get this right, starting with a fantastic show from A Passion Play tour, with this underestimated classic played from beggining to ending, and also TAAB, several tracks of Aqualung, among others including an instrumental containing the first apparitions of what would become The Minstrel In The Gallery two years later.

Eu sempre entro no Youtube e pesquiso pelos últimos videos postados com o nome Tull. Acabo sempre vendo vários videos, bons e ruins, de apresentações recentes da banda, muitos videos velhos conhecidos e, quando tenho sorte, algumas novas pérolas. Bem, acabei de encontrar algumas pérolas.
Dois videos de apresentações do Tull num programa de TV Francês, chamado "A Vague To The Smile - the Joconde", no início de 1970, postados por TheHammond1986. Já havia visto fotos dessa apresentação, mas nunca nada em vídeo. Muito bom ver isso. Legal ver a empolgação da "comunidade Tulliana no Youtube", os caras de quem falei nesse post e outros abismados e radiantes com o novo material do velho Tull.
Os videos são apresentações de Bourée e Living In The Past.

I always visit Youtube and search for the last uploaded videos with Tull in the name, and I end up watching several videos from recent shows, lots of old well known videos and, occasionally, some new pearls. Well, just got some pearls.
Two videos of a Tull presentation in a French TV show named "A Vague To The Smile- The Joconde", in the beginning of 1970, uploaded by TheHammond1986. I had already saw photos of this presentation, but nothing in video. Really nice to see it, and to see how animated is the "Youtube Tull Community", the guys I've talked
about here and others, everybody astonished with the new old Tull.
The videos are presentations of Bourée and Living In The Past.
The photos I saw are in the photo galleries at Glenn Cornick's website. There are of this presentation, click in the miniature below to go straight to the page they're in the album.

Aparentemente a gravação foi em 30 de setembro de 69, e, segundo os vídeos, foi ao ar em 11 de janeiro de 70. Sem mais, seguem abaixo os videos, muito obrigado por compartilhar esse material fantástico TheHammond1986!

Apparently the recording was in September 30th, 1969, and according to the videos, the broadcast took place in January 11th, 1970. Enough talking, you may now see the videos, and thank you very much for sharing this amazing material TheHammond1986!

P.S: Acabei de ver que tem mais! O TheHammond1986 postou um video velho conhecido dos fãs do Tull, de 69, também na França, não sei se gravado na mesma ocasião dos demais. Esse é aquele com a banda tocando num campo de futebol. Então qual é a novidade? É direto da Master Tape! O que significa que tem a melhor qualidade em que já vi esse clipe na vida! Just realized there's more! TheHammond1986 also posted a video long known by Tull fans, from 69, also in France, but I don't no if it was shot in the same occasion than the other two. This is the one with the band playing in a soccer field. So what's different this time? It's from the Master Tape! Which means it has the best quality I have ever saw this video in in my life! Futuro do Blog (Blog's Future)

Não tenho postado muito aqui ultimamente, e infelizmente a regularidade das postagens não deve aumentar tão cedo. O motivo é que voltei às aulas na faculdade e esse ano pretendo fazer as coisas diferente pra não ter que correr atrás do prejuízo em dezembro.

Minha próxima postagem será focada em verificar os links dos bootlegs e reupar todos os pedidos feitos por comentário, de link quebrado, musica faltando etc. Farei isso antes de pensar em postar bootlegs novos, aguardem as correções e reuploads!

I'm not posting much lately, and the posting regularity won't increase so early. The motive is that I've returned to have classes in College and this year and want to do things right from the beginning, so I won't need to study so hard like I had to do last december.
My next post will be focused in verifying the bootleg's download links and re-upload all the requests made by comments, regarding broken links, missing tracks, etc. I´ll do that before thinking about posting new bootlegs, wait for the corrections and re-ups!

Comentários: Esse é um bootleg engraçado. Ian está anormalmente confuso, errou a ordem das músicas do setlist, começou a tocar outra música no começo de Cheap Day Return, por isso tem uma faixa Cheap Day Return (first attempt), etc. Engraçado é as piadas e coisas que ele fala pra disfarçar as situações embaraçosas, hehe. Mas tirando isso a perfomance da banda é bem legal e conta com a talentosa violinista Lucia Micarelli, a primeira que saiu em turnê como convidada com a banda. Ela toca algumas peças próprias, e a banda toca junto com ele em algumas músicas do Tull e em alguns covers! Coisa que eu nunca tinha visto antes, o Tull tocando covers, mas taí, Kashmir e Bohemian Rhapsody! Outro destaque é o tema do Poderoso Chefão, que ficou muito bom com flauta e violino. Ótimo show!

This is a funny bootleg. Ian is unusually confused, forgets the order of the songs in the setlist, begins to play another song in the beginning of Cheap Day Return, that's why there's a track called Cheap Day Return (first attempt), etc. The funny thing is the jokes he made to cover up this embarrassing moments, but the band performance is pretty good, and counts with the talented violinist Lucia Micarelli, the first one to get on the road with the band as a guest violist. She plays some of her own material, as well as Tull's pieces with the band and some covers! That was new for me, never had seen Tull playing covers, but there it is, Kashmir and Bohemian Rhapsody! Another highlight is The Godfather's theme, that gave a very nice flute/violin song. Great show!

Comentários: Um pedaço da história por trás do surgimento do Jethro Tull. Esse é um bootleg de um show da John Evan Band, banda na qual tocaram vários músicos que um dia seriam membros do Jethro Tull, como Ian Anderson, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, Glenn Cornick, John Evan e Barriemore Barlow. Nessa gravação especificamente, apenas Ian e John Evan tocaram, junto com outros membros obscuros do conjunto, entretanto na capa do bootleg temos uma foto mostrando Ian, sentado acima da placa do carro está John Evan, apoiado nele esta Barrie Barlow e o último à direita é Glenn Cornick. Eu acabei de descobrir que essa foto é de quando eles fizeram uma aparição num programa de televisão chamado Firstimers! Mais informações nesse link, no site Tull Press. Ou seja, há uma gravação em algum lugar por aí dessa turma tocando na TV, ia ser incrível ver isso!

Mas obviamente as músicas desse bootleg não tem nada a ver com Jethro Tull, são em sua maioria covers de blues e outras músicas nesse estilo, serve mais como uma curiosidade do que esses caras tocavam antes do Tull.

A little piece of Jethro Tull's history, this bootleg is a show of The John Evan Band, band in which played several musicians who later would be members of Jethro Tull, like Ian Anderson, Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, Glenn Cornick, John Evan and Barriemore Barlow. In this specific, only Ian and John Evan played, along with other obscure members of the group, however in the workart there's a picture showing Ian, sitting right above the car's number plate is John Evan, in his side is Barrie Barlow and the last one in the right is Glenn Cornick. I just found out that this picture is from they made an apparition in a TV show called Firstimers! More informations in this link, in Tull Press website. That means there's a recording somewhere with this guys playing in TV, would be amazing to see this!
But obviously this bootleg's songs are completely different from Tull's music, most of it are covers of blues songs and other songs in this style, but it still worth the download as a curiosity of what this guys used to play before Tull.

Comentários: Em 1969 o Tull fez dois shows no mesmo dia na cidade de Estocolmo. Essa gravação é do primeiro show. O setlist é bem parecido com o outro, mas esse show é menor, tem pouco mais de 10 minutos a menos. A qualidade de som e a performance são muito boas. Esse bootleg tem o mesmo nome de um bootleg gravado em 1970 nos EUA.

É um show muito legal de ouvir, tem algumas peculiaridades, como Nothing Is Easy com 14 minutos, até gaita o Ian toca no meio, e Dharma For One com Clive bunker fazendo o seu famoso solo de bateria.

In 69 Tull played to concerts in the same day in Stockholm. This record is from the first show. The setlist is almost the same from the setlist of the other show, but this show is about 10 minutes shorter. Sound quality and band performance are amazing. This bootleg has the same name of another one recorded in the USA in 70.
It's a show very cool to listen to, it has some peculiarities, like a 14 minutes long version of Nothing Is Easy, Ian plays harmonica in the middle of it, and Dharma For One with Clive Bunker performing his famous drum solo.

Comentários: Bootleg muito bom, os shows de 89 tinham bastante energia. Uma coisa interessante de destacar são as faixas de 74 e 75 que aparecem em formas instrumentais, como Sealion, Black Satin Dancer, Requiem e The Third Hoorah, Martin fez um belo trabalho nessas faixas! Tem também algumas músicas mais acústicas, como Cheap Day Return, Jack-A-Lynn, etc. Além disso há diversas faixas bônus, algumas gravadas no camarim no próprio show, outras de rádios, e a música Rock Island de um show de 90. Vale a pena baixar!

Very good Bootleg, the shows of 89 had a lot of energy. One interesting thing about it are the tracks from 74 and 75 that show up in instrumental arrangements, like Sealion, Black Satin Dancer, Requiem e The Third Hoorah, Martin did a good job in these tracks! There are also many bonus tracks, some of them recorded in the dressing-room of the show, others from radio broadcasts, e the song Rock Island from a show in 90. Worth the download!

A really nice bootleg of 2000, besides the general opinion about Dot Com album isn't so good, the shows from this times are interesting, with a assorted setlist.
We have old songs like With You There To Help Me and Dharma For One, folk stuff like Hunting Girl, songs from Ian's solo work in the case of In The Grip Of Stronger Stuff, songs from the most recente album (at the time) like AWOL e Dot Com and the classics Aqualung, Bourée, Locomotive Breath, etc. It's a different show to please many people!

Comentários: Finalmente postando um bootleg de 82, estava faltando um dessa época por aqui. Esse é um bootleg muito bom, grande performance e qualidade de áudio bastante descente. Algumas coisas interessantes são Weathercock seguido de Fires At Midnight, nesse boot estão divididos em duas faixas, mas na verdade é um medley muito bom das duas músicas, e a raramente tocada Flying Colours. Além disso tem uma composição bem folk do Dave Pagg, um pedaço da música me lembra muito uma faixa dos primeiros discos do Clannad ou do Cruachan, não me recordo exatamente qual. Ótimo bootleg, altamente recomendado!

Finally posting a bootleg from '82, it was missing one from these year around here. This is a great bootleg, amazing perfomance and very good audio quality. Some interesting things are Weathercock followed by Fires At Midnight, in this bootleg they're divided in two track, but it's actually a medley of this two songs, and the rarely played Flying Colours. There's also a very folk Pegg's composition, a piece of the song remeber me of something from the first albuns of Clannad or Cruachan, but I can't exactly remember which one. Great bootleg, Higly recommended!

Comentários: Bootleg bastante conhecido dos fãs do Tull, sendo que o show também foi filmado e rola pela internet há tempos. Além de ouvir a banda em um de suas melhores fases e tocando impecávelmente, há alguns bônus interessantes, todos retirados do documentário da BBC produzido em 79 chamado BBC Lively Arts, Sweet Dream e Dark Ages ao vivo, outra gravação de Dark Ages só com Ian cantando e a faixa Wardrobe Whopper, que é na verdade uma forma inicial da nunca lançada Apocalypse.

Well known bootleg by Tull fans, this show was also filmed and is in the internet for a while. In this bootleg we can hear the band in one of it's best fases and playing impeccably, and there are also some interesting bonus tracks, all taken of BBC's documentary Lively Arts, produced in 79. Sweet Dream and Dark Ages alive, another recording of Dark Ages with just Ian singing and the track Wardrobe Whopper, which is actually an early version of the never officially released song called Apocalypse.

Finalmente a faculdade acabou (esse ano pelo menos), e todos estresse que tive com ela esse ano foi embora, o que me dá mais tempo e cabeça para atualizar as coisas por aqui.
Ainda não recuperei aquele meu antigo HD cheio de coisas do Tull mas já tenho tudo pronto para fazer isso, achei um tutorial por ai que muita gente com o mesmo problema seguiu e funcionou. Mas tenho constantemente encontrado mais bootlegs por aí então tenho várias coisas já preparadas para postar, e pretendo começar essa semana!

Finally college is over (for this year, at least), and all the stress it gave me this year is gone, wich gives me more time and disposition to update things around here.
I didn't recover that old HD fulfilled with Tull stuff, though I already have everything prepared to do it, found a tutorial that worked for a lot of people with the same problem. But I have constantly found new bootlegs so I already have many things prepared to upload and post, and I pretend start doing it this week!

Hello folks!

It's been a while since I updated the blog for the last time, I've been a little busy lately, but as I said before, let's talk a little about these great guys who maintain these awesome channels on Youtube with really rare Tull material.
I'll start with Tulletti Projects, where the young Nick gives humanity some hope by showing that not all kids are doomed musically. Nick trades videos with people from everywhere, and since most of the videos are mute, he syncs them with audio from bootlegs recorded by the same time, even the same show. The result: a channel full of lost pearls to make every and all Tull fans stunned.
I must point out that Nick does his work for fun, and gives it away freely, and that's something I admire, because I had already seen people who have this egocentric pleasure of being the only one to have some recording. Nick sent to me a lot of his syncs, thanks again for that Nick!

Comentários: O ano é 1994, e o Jethro Tull continua fazendo shows da tour de aniversário de 25 anos. Esse foi um desses shows, com uma qualidade realmente muito boa de áudio, e uma grande performance da banda. Nesse show, junto a Martin e Ian estavam Doane Perry e Andy Giddings, e, tocando pela última vez como membro do Tull, Dave Pegg.
Podemos ouvir nesse bootleg várias músicas mais antigas da banda, junto com algumas mais recentes e até mesmo peças das carreiras solo dos membros. Destaque para o medley Songs From the Wood/Too Old To Rock and Roll/Heavy Horses, simplesmente genial!

The year is 1994, and Jethro Tull keeps on the road doing the 25th anniversary tour. This was one of the shows, with a really good audio quality, and a great performance of the musicians. In this show, along with Ian and Martin, were Doane Perry and Andy Giddings, and, playing for the last time as a Tull member, Dave Pegg.
In this bootleg we can listen some old songs of the band, as well as some of the more recent at the time, and even pieces from member's solo albuns. One of the highlights is the medley Songs From the Wood/Too Old To Rock and Roll/Heavy Horses, awesome!

Resolvi postar algumas coisas do Tull que não são bootlegs, mas músicas e versões "raras", que saíram em singles ou discos esquecidos por aí.
A primeira é a versão longa de 17, lançada no singles francês Sweet Dreams. Essa música é o lado 2 do single, e apresenta 17 com 6:02 minutos.

Comentário: Show de 76 com um áudio bastante descente. Setlist muito interessante, com algumas músicas do então mais novo lançamento da banda, "Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll, Too Young Too Die!", que não foram muito tocadas ao vivo depois dessa época, como Big Dipper, Quizz Kid, The Chequered Flag e Crazed Institution.
Outros destaques são a bela Réquiem, do disco Minstrel In The Gallery, e os instrumentais que nunca foram lançados oficialmente, como a Nona Sinfonia de Beethoven, e a faixa Finale, outra grande passagem instrumental, no fim do show.
David Palmer foi creditado na contra-capa desse bootleg, e com razão, pois nessa época ele estava tocando com o Tull nos shows, e pouco depois faria parte oficialmente da banda. Podemos ver no famoso video TullAvision sua participação nos shows de 76, enriquecendo ainda mais o som da banda nas teclas, além do solo de saxofone em Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll...
Bootleg muito bom e grande performance do Tull!

Show from 76 with really decent audio quality. Very interesting setlist, with some songs from the newest Tull album at the time, "Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll, Too Young Too Die!", that were not played very often after this tour, like Big Dipper, Quizz Kid, The Chequered Flag e Crazed Institution.
Another highlights are the beautiful Requiem, from the album "Minstrel In the Gallery", and some unreleased instrumental tracks like Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Finale, another great instrumental in the end of the show.
David Palmer is rightly credited in this bootleg artwork, because he was playing with Tull before being officially a member of the band. We can see it in the famous video TullAvision, where he does a great performance in the keyboards, besides the sax solo in Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll...
Really good bootleg and great Tull performance!

Comentários: Segundo a capa o show é do dia 22, mas ela está errada, o show aconteceu no dia 21. Outro show muito bom do começo da década de 70, parecido com o Fairytales From The Pawnshop. Uma época muito legal da banda, fim de 69, começo de 70. Podemos ouvir coisas como Martin tocando flauta em Bourée e Fat Man, músicas pouca tocadas como Play In Time, etc. E esse também tem o extenso solo de bateria do Clive em Dharma for One, que é suprimido no outro bootleg. Bootleg muito bom!

The cover says the show was in 22/1/70, but actually it was from one day before. Another really good show from 70's beginning, kind a seems like Fairytales From The Pawnshop. A great period for Tull, end of 69, beginning of 70. We can hear really cool stuff like Martin playing the flute in Bourée and Fatman, rarely played songs like Play in Time, etc. And this one also got Clive's extense drum solo in Dharma for One, which does not appear in the other bootleg. Great Bootleg!

Comentários: Grande descoberta, um bootleg de 1977, com quase duas horas de duração, show incrível e com qualidade de som excelente. A gravação é da mesa de som, por isso o áudio é muito bom, soa muito claro, embora pareça mono algumas vezes, o que é meio estranho, mas não atrapalha em nada a apreciação desse maravilhoso bootleg!
O cara que originalmente postou isso na internet disse que pegou isso com um membro da road crew do Tull, e esqueceu que tinha por muitos anos. Ainda bem que ele se lembrou, pra alegria de todos nós!

A great discover, a bootleg from 1977, almost 2 hours long, incredible show and excelent sound quality. The record is from the sound board, that's why the audio is so good. It sounds like mono sometimes, what is kind of strange, but doesn' t compromise this awesome bootleg!

So, what one do you want first?

Vamos começar com as coisas boas. Descobri mais cantinhos escondidos na internet que tem coisas muuuito legais do Tull. Já postei várias delas aqui, alguns devem ter percebido que ultimamente os bootlegs tem tido um tamanho maior, isso se dá porque nesses lugares em que estou pegando coisas geralmente está tudo em Flac, formato de áudio sem compressão, o que torna o som com mais qualidade, mas gera arquivos muito grandes. Pra postar aqui eu encodo tudo em MP3 de 320 kbps, fica bem menor, mas ainda dápra perceber que os arquivos são maiores que o padrão que se acha na net. A outra é que descobri um site de torrent que tem muitos shows do Tull em DVD, com qualidade muito boa. Tem coisas bem raras, como o BBC Lively Arts com qualidade muito legal, bem distante daquele mpg que roda por ai. Não pretendo upar e por no blog essas coisas, porque o legal mesmo é ver em alta qualidade, gravar numa mídia e curtir, mas vou fazer um post com essa dica muito boa depois.

Let's begin with the good ones. I found out more hidden sites in the internet where there are the most awesome Tull stuff. I have already posted some of it here, some of you should have noticed that the last bootlegs were bigger than the others, that's because in the site I am getting the bootlegs everything is in Flac, an audio format without compression, with better sound quality, but too large to post in the blog. So I encode everything in 320 kbps MP3 files, what make the bootlegs smaller, but still possible to notice that the files are bigger than the usually found in the internet. The other good new is that I discovered a torrent site with many Tull shows in DVD, with a very good quality. There are some rare stuff, like BBC Lively Arts with a very good quality, far away from the old mpg that runs the internet. I won't post it in the blog, because that kind of stuff is better to download in high quality, burn in a DVD disk and have fun, but I will post this very good tip later.

Agora, como não tem pra onde fugir, vamos às ruins. Eu ando com acesso bem restrito à internet, comecei a trabalhar, e faço faculdade, então meu tempo tá bem curto pra subir coisas e postar. Mas continuarei fazendo isso, mesmo que com menos frequëncia.
O pior mesmo é o que aconteceu com meu HD. Ele é um HD Seagate Barracuda de 500 gb. Estava funcionando perfeitamente até essa semana, quando simplesmente deixou de ser reconhecido pela BIOS. Fiz todos os testes aqui descobri que o problema é mesmo com o HD. Entrei no site da Seagate e descobri que há um problema realmente, os HD`s que vieram com alguns firmwares específicos estão tendo esse problema, que torna os arquivos inacessíveis. A Seagate promete que não haverá perda de dados por causa desse problema, então eu estou mais tranqüilo, a Seagate tem um nome muito forte, não vai se queimar desse jeito não dando suporte pra um erro deles. Creio que terei meus dados novos junto com um HD novo, eu realmente quero acreditar nisso. Mas quando? Não faço idéia.
Ou seja, vai complicar pra eu postar coisas que estavam arrumadas e separadas pro blog. Tenho a maioria do meu acervo em backup, mas não tudo, e tem coisas lá que seria lastimável perder.

Now the bad ones. I am with a very limited access to the internet, I got a job, and there's the college too, so my time to encode, up and post bootlegs is now very short. But I will still doing this, with less frequency probably, but I will.
But the worst happened to my HD. It's a Seagate Barracuda 500GB, and it was working perfectly, but suddenly it stopped being recognized to the BIOS. I ran all the tests and find out that the problem is indeed with the HD. In Seagate's site I saw that there is a problem with the firmware of some HD's, now my data is inaccessible, but is intact (so say Seagate). I am in touch with Seagate's Support and they will help me to restore my HD and have my stuff back.
Because of that will be difficult to up and post some things that are already organized and separated to the blog. I have backups of most of my Tull bootlegs, but there are some things that would be terrible to lose.

Essa é a situação, então talvez o blog fique meio parado por um tempo, e eu também não poderei atender aos comentários de link quebrado ou faixas faltando, mas em breve olharei meus backups que estão por aqui em algum lugar e arrumarei tudo que for possível.
Como compensação a todos os leitores, amanhã vou subir um show de 1977, do qual nunca tinha ouvido falar antes, e que apareceu do nada por aí, e melhor, áudio muito bom, direto da mesa de som!

Comentários: Show do final de 1971, o primeiro que eu encontrei desse período. O som não é uma maravilha mas é bem audível, por assim dizer. Nesse show eles já estão tocando Thick As A Brick, the middle bit, com uns 15 minutos de duração. Bastante parecido com o que foi tocado no início de 72, antes do lançamento do disco. Além disso contém outras músicas pouco tocadas ao vivo, como Up To Me, Hymn 43 e a nunca gravada oficialmente Tomorrow Was Today.

Comentários: 92 é uma época na carreira do Tull que eu gosto demais. A tournê "Light And Dark" e os novos arranjos feitos pra muitas músicas foram muito legais. Eu adoro o disco A Little Light Music por causa disso. Esse show mostra isso, é demais.
Ao pesquisar sobre esse bootleg pra fazer cheguei a ficar em dúvida se ele não seria na verdade o show em Denver feito um dia antes. Mas cheguei a conclusão de que é o de São Francisco mesmo. O Ministry Of Information trás os dois shows, e os setlists são iguais, mas a faixa Pussy Willow está marcada como instrumental no show do dia 14, e está normal no dia 13. Além disso achei um artwork pro show de Denver e lá também Pussy Willow não está como instrumental. Ai concluí que esse é mesmo o show de São Francisco.
Não encontrei Artwork além dessa miniatura no electrocutas. Mas algumas informações a respeito do CD 2 não batem com o bootleg que eu upei. Provavelmente são ambos do mesmo show mas de fontes diferentes.

Comentários: Bootleg de 1995, com excelente qualidade de áudio. O setlist é um tanto diferente, como era a época do lançamento do álbum Roots To Branches, a maioria das músicas é desse álbum. Interessante ouvir o Tull tocando essas músicas na época, até porque posteriormente essas músicas não são tocadas com muita freqüência. Além disso conta com a bela música Grip Of The Stronger Stuff, do disco solo do Ian chamado Divinities, a antiga e maravilhosa We Used To Know, e, fechando o disco, Locomotive Breath, como se tornou tradição nos shows da banda.

A qualidade do som é excelente, muito boa mesmo, e a performance é sensacional. O último grande bootleg do Tull em sua fase áurea, altamente recomendado!

Quanto à última música, o Ministry Of Information diz que há um instrumental diferente no final de Too Old To R'n'R... e depois um pedacinho de Thick As A Brick que fecha o show, entretanto no bootleg a música acaba no comecinho do instrumental. Se alguém tiver a última faixa completa, se existir, por favor entre em contato!
Esse é um grande show, apesar de a fase criativa da banda ter ido por lados estranhos em 1984, os shows eram muitos bons, e muitos legais de ouvir, como é o caso desse bootleg.

CORREÇÕES e RE-UP: Eu cometi um erro ao subir esse bootleg, ao invés da última faixa ser o Chateau D'Isaster Tapes que deveria ser, com 22 minutos, acabei subindo a versão de 11 minutos lançada oficialmente na caixa de 20 anos! Percebi o erro ao baixar o bootleg para testar se o link estava funcionando após receber algumas mensagens de que o boot estava fora do ar.
Agora upei de novo o bootleg com a versão correta do Chateau D'Isaster Tapes, que contém as faixas: Overture, Scenario, Audition, Skating away..., Sailor, No Rehearsal.

Comentários: Em 1969 o Tull fez dois shows no mesmo dia na cidade de Estocolmo. Essa gravação é do segundo show, e menos conhecido. O setlist é bem parecido, mas esse show é maior, tem pouco mais de 10 minutos a mais. A qualidade de som e a performance são muito boas. Em breve o primeiro show será postado.
Esse bootleg tem o mesmo nome de um bootleg gravado em 1970 nos EUA.

No Setlist temos músicas que parecem sempre nos shows do Tull, como Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, TAAB, Bourée, etc, mas também há várias músicas que não são tocadas ao vivo há anos ou que raramente aparecem nos shows, e que tem sido tocadas nessa tournê dos 40 anos da banda, como Heavy Horses, Dharma For One, Too Old To Rock 'N' Rol..., So Much Trouble, Nursie, etc.

Comentários: A faixa 8 às vezes é difícil de identificar, mas a música é feita de partes de Thick As A Brick, por isso foi marcada como Reprise. A faixa 11 contém um pedaço do que se tornaria a música Minstrel In The Gallery em 1975. Infelizmente um grande pedaço da penúltima faixa está faltando.

Comentários: Um das coisas mais interessantes desse bootleg é a faixa Dharma For One. Nela pode-se escutar claramente duas flautas, mas a outra não é trabalho do Mr. Barre. Na comunidade Jethro Tull.br no orkut chegamos a conclusão de que existe a possibilidade de ser Rashaan Roland Kirk, já que ele tocou nesse festival e dizem que tocou mesmo junto com o Tull.
O estilo de tocar é mesmo o de Kirk, e eu posso jurar que ouvi umas notas que se parecem muito com flauta doce, e o Kirk as vezes tocava alternando entre instrumentos pendurados nele, e a flauta doce era um deles, que ele tocava com o nariz.

Comentários: O show desse bootleg ocorreu em Berlim em homenagem ao aniversário de 300 anos de J. S. Bach. Nele está presente Eddie Jobson, que tocou com o Tull em 80, e aparece como convidado especial nos teclados e violino. O show foi aberto com Black Sunday, música da época do disco A, e seguiu com vários clássicos do Tull, até chegar em Bourée, música que não poderia faltar num show como esse, e com Soirée grudada nela. Logo após veio a adaptação de Concerto Para Dois Violinos, de Bach, ou Bach’s Double Violin Concerto. Não havia dois violinistas no palco, mas Eddie tocou o seu violino maravilhosamente e Martin fez a parte do outro na guitarra, e todas as outras partes da música são fenomenais, mostrando os músicos tocando com muita técnica e fazendo um som sensacional.

Comentários: Esse é o primeiro show do Tull na Alemanha, sobre o qual é comentado no booklet do DVD Live In Germany.
É uma performance muito boa, e é um ótimo exemplo de porquê os bootlegs do Jethro Tull me fascinam tanto. Tenho vários bootlegs de 1970, e cada um é diferente do outro. Cada performance, mesmo sendo no mesmo ano, mesmo setlist, mesmo line-up, cada uma delas tem algo diferente, uma música que foi raramente executada ao vivo antes ou depois, uma medley, um solo ou jam, etc.
Nesse caso temos uma medley de Bourée e Living In The Past, sendo que no começo de Bourée ouvimos duas flautas, isso mesmo, duas, pois Martin acompanha o Ian no começo, isso sem falar na introdução diferente para a música, que creio eu só foi tocada entre o fim de 69 e início de 70.
O solo de baixo de Glenn Cornick se emenda com o ínicio de Living In The Past, e está feita essa bela combinação de duas grandes músicas do Tull.
Além disso temos o pouco tocado som Play In Time, do álbum Benefit, e Dharma for One executada como na gravação original, sem a letra e o longo solo de bateria. We Used To Know dispensa comentários, Martin Barre solando incrivelmente, assim como na próxima música, Guitar Snippets, na verdade uma jam de Barre, na qual vem grudada For A Thousand Mothers, encerrando o show.

Depois de um longo período distante do blog e da organização e upload dos meus bootlegs, agora estou de volta. Tenho muitas coisas fantásticas aqui pra upar, vou começar hoje mesmo com uma grande performance do Tull em 1970 na Alemanha.

Salve Tullianos!

Recentemente o leitor the ox me alertou sobre a falta de uma faixa em um bootleg, o We Used To Know, de 1970. Na hora de fazer os pacotes e subir acabei me esquecendo dela, que é a "Sossity: You're A Woman/Reasons For Waiting". Acabo de fazer o upload dela, que pode ser baixada clicando aqui.
Também adicionei isso na postagem do referido bootleg, e arrumei a relação das faixas, pois nela "By Kind Permission Of..." estava como uma única faixa, quando na verdade esse música está na mesma faixa de "With You There To Help Me".
Obrigado pelo aviso the ox, e desculpem minha distração.

Além disso, estou há alguns dias sem atualizar o blog, mas farei isso em breve. Na verdade já tenho algumas coisas upadas, acho que até sexta devo organizar esse material e disponibilizar aqui. Tenho encontrado mais coisas o tempo todo ultimamente, hoje mesmo foram mais três bootlegs, de 73, 74 e 76.
Pretendo ir postando esses menos comuns por aqui primeiro, mas intercalando com bootlegs que são conhecidos na net a mais tempo, e também com os mais atuais. Há ótimas gravações da turnê do ano passado, e a desse ano, a turnê do Aniversário dos 40 Anos da banda, tem trazido muitas surpresas, tanto nos setlists quando nas participações especiais e etc.

Mas enquanto não posto nenhum bootleg novo vou deixar aqui pra vocês uma coisa que eu fiz. Eu nunca consegui achar um wallpaper decente do Tull na internet. Aí, acabo fazendo os meus eu mesmo. Esse fiz hoje. Não é nada demais, uma foto do Ian tirada em 1973, com um efeito de pintura e ao lado o desenho da capa do Living In The Past. Gostei do resultado, estou usando aqui e resolvi deixar por aqui pra quem quiser:

Jethro Tull.
Antes de conhecer a banda eu pensava que fosse algum tipo de metal, sei lá por que. Me parecia um nome forte, combinava com isso na minha cabeça.
Ai eu comecei a ouvir, e nunca mais parei. Tull é a banda da minha vida, já há dois anos, e vai continuar sendo. Pelo menos esse é o plano. Não acho que vá viciar tanto em outra banda outra vez, não tanto quanto em Tull.

Mas vamos ao que interessa. Nesses dois anos, após ouvir toda discografia oficial da banda, começou minha caçada por Bootlegs Tullianos. De lá pra cá acumulei muita coisa, muita coisa boa.
Alguens foram fáceis de achar, de outros eu quase desisti. Recentemente encontrei uma leva de bootlegs, de épocas das quais eu não tinha nada, todos fantásticos.
Então me veio a idéia de subir todos eles e espalhar pela net a fora, o que acabou me levando a criar esse blog. Pretendo colocar toda minha coleção aqui.
Quero com isso que mais gente, mais fãs e futuros fãs tenham acesso mais fácil a essas coisas, compartilhar isso é pra mim como um tipo de agradecimento a essa banda maravilhosa e a todos os músicos que passaram por ela, um agradecimentos na forma de levar seu trabalho mais longe.

Por hoje é isso, em breve começarei a postar os bootlegs.
